Bird Coiba National Park / World Heritage Site: small groups, quality service, personal attention... safety first!!

What To Bring

Long pants and appropriate shoes for walking/hiking, hat, sandals/water shoes for getting in and out of the boat, beach towel, personal toiletries (toilet paper), sunscreen*, personal water bottle, compact flashlight (over night trips), insect repellent,  bathing suit, rain gear (rainy season april-dec), 'dry' bag, camera and binoculars.  During the evenings a solar array/ generator produces 110v electricity with functioning outlets in the cabins...usually providing electricity from around 7pm-midnight.  Bring camera chargers, extra batteries, etc. for multiple day trips.  For trips that include snorkeling: bring your own personal gear--mask and snorkel…Javier can rent the ‘flippers’ for you from one of the dive shops in town (no extra charge) if needed.  Bring your passport.  Pack on the light side.

*Please bring sunscreen that is not harmful to the coral reef you will be in the water with.  The sunscreen that washes off your body when swimming may affect aquatic life including corals. Common chemical sunscreen ingredients, such as oxybenzone, can bleach coral and damage coral reefs.

Keep in mind: there are no ATM's or banks in Santa Catalina.

Most of all bring your adventurous spirit!!!
